What we do

Get the water out. Get it dry. Document everything.

The blitz is the first hours: water out, wet materials out, drying gear in. Then it's patient, measured drying until the readings say it's done. Here's the full scope we cover, from the first hour to the final reading.

Emergency water extraction

Truck-mount or portable extraction to pull standing water out of floors, carpet and pad fast.

Moisture inspection & mapping

Meters and thermal imaging to find where water went, including behind walls and under floors, logged on a moisture map.

Carpet, pad & baseboard removal

Removing saturated materials that can't be saved so the structure underneath can dry.

Drywall flood cuts

Clean, measured cuts above the wet line so wall cavities can be opened up and dried.

Insulation removal

Wet insulation holds water against framing. We remove and bag it out.

Structural drying

Dehumidifiers and air movers placed to a drying plan, not just "fans in the room".

HEPA air scrubbing

HEPA air scrubbers to capture airborne particulates during demo and drying.

Antimicrobial treatment

Applied to affected surfaces and cavities as part of the drying process.

Daily moisture monitoring

Return visits each day to take readings, adjust equipment and track progress.

Documentation for your insurance claim

Photos, moisture maps, daily readings and an equipment log, organized for you and your adjuster.

Final dry-standard verification

We confirm materials are back to dry standard with documented readings before we pull equipment.

Our team

Local owners on every job.

✕What we don't do: reconstruction

We're a mitigation team. Once your home is dry, rebuild work (drywall, paint, flooring, cabinets) goes to a contractor of your choosing. You choose who rebuilds, and our documentation goes with you.

!If we find significant mold, we stop

If significant mold growth is found, mitigation work stops and a licensed Texas mold professional is brought in to assess and handle it. We don't do mold remediation ourselves.

24-Hour Emergency Procedure

What happens after you contact DryBlitz

The same eight steps every time, day or night, so you always know what comes next.

  1. 1
    Any time, 24/7

You email us and a real person reads it

Send your address, what happened and a few photos to help@dryblitz.com. Not a call center: one of the owners gets back to you.

  2. 2
    First few minutes

Quick triage, then safety tips while you wait

A few questions about the source, how much water, and which rooms. Then we walk you through it:

    • Shut off water at the main
    • Turn off power to wet areas, if it's safe to reach the panel
    • Move valuables, photos and electronics up and out
  3. 3
    Right after triage

    ETA from us

We let you know who's coming and when. Arrival times are targets, not guarantees.

  4. 4
    On arrival

Source check, photos & moisture map

We confirm the water source is stopped. If it isn't, we help you call a plumber. Then we photograph everything and map moisture before anything is moved.

  5. 5
    Day 1

Extraction & removal of affected materials

Standing water extracted. Saturated carpet, pad, baseboards, drywall and insulation removed where needed.

  6. 6
    Day 1

    Drying equipment set up

Dehumidifiers, air movers and HEPA air scrubbers placed to a drying plan, with antimicrobial treatment applied as needed.

  7. 7
    Every day until dry

    Daily monitoring visits with readings

We re-read every mapped point, adjust equipment, and share the day's progress with you.

  8. 8
    Final visit

Dry-standard verification, pickup & documentation package

Final readings confirm dry standard, equipment comes out, and you get the full package: photos, moisture maps, daily logs and the equipment record.

You fix the leak or manage the property. We dry it out, document it, and hand the customer back to you.

Plumbers

We don't do plumbing, so referring a water job to us never puts your customer at risk.

  • Moisture readings and photos shared with you on request, with the homeowner's OK

FAQ

Common questions

How fast can you get here?

We get there as quickly as we can and give you an ETA once we've heard from you. Traffic, weather and storm-event demand can affect timing, so this is a target, not a guarantee.

Should I contact my insurance company first, or you?

If water is still spreading, stopping the damage comes first. Many policies expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage. Contact us to get mitigation started, and contact your insurer to file your claim. We'll document everything along the way.

Will you deal with my insurance company for me?

No. You file and manage your claim. We document the loss and share factual job information with your adjuster. Texas law doesn't allow contractors to act as public adjusters.

Do you fix the leak?

No, we don't do plumbing. When we arrive we confirm the source is stopped. If it isn't, we'll help you get a plumber out (yours, or a local one if you don't have one).

How long does drying take?

It depends on how much water there was, how long it sat, and what materials got wet. We don't guess: we take readings every day and pull equipment only when materials reach dry standard.

What if you find mold?

If significant mold is found, we stop work and a licensed Texas mold professional is brought in. We don't do mold remediation.

Do you rebuild after drying?

No. You're free to use any rebuild contractor you like. Our documentation goes with you.

What does it cost?

Mitigation cost depends on the size of the affected area, the materials removed and the number of drying days.
